제조업

2011년 현재 수도권 제조업 사업체는 약 17만 개, 약 159만 명이 종사하고 있다. 전국 대비 수도권 사업체 수는 50.8%, 종사자 수는 44.2%이다.

제조업체의 교외화로 서울지역에는 제조업체와 종사자 수가 감소한 반면 경기도는 증가하였고, 1994년부터 경기도의 제조업 종사자 수가, 2002년부터 경기도의 제조업 사업체 수가 서울을 앞서고 있다. 2011년 현재 수도권 제조업 종사자 수는 서울 274,809명, 인천2 23,240명, 경기도 1,087,312명이다.

MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY

As of 2011, there are about 170,000 manufacturing establishments employing 1.59 million people in the metropolitan area. They account for 50.8% of the establishments and 44.2% of the employment of this industry in Korea.

Due to the suburbanization of manufacturing establishments, the number of establishments and workers has decreased in Seoul while they have grown in Gyeonggi-do. Gyeonggi-do has been outmatching Seoul in the number of workers since 1994 and in the number of establishments since 2002. As of 2011, there were 274,809 workers in Seoul, 223,240 workers in Incheon, and 1,087,312 workers in Gyeonggi-do engaged in the manufacturing industries.
