수도권 인구밀도

서울지역의 인구밀도는 1990년대 이후로 완만한 감소추세를 보이는 반면, 경기도 지역의 인구밀도는 지속적으로 증가추세에 있다.

2010년 현재 서울의 인구밀도는 행정구역면적을 기준으로 했을 때 17,473명/㎢, 경기도는 1,119.3명/㎢, 인천은 2,587.5명/㎢이다. 시가화면적을 기준으로 계산을 할 경우 서울은 27,421.5명/㎢, 경기도는 8,627.9명/㎢, 인천은 11,923.7명/㎢으로 서울의 인구밀도가 경기도의 인구밀도의 약 3배 정도로 나타난다.

POPULATION DENSITY IN METROPOLITAN AREA

While the population density of Seoul has been undergoing gradual decline since the 1990s, the population density of Gyeonggi-do has consistently increased.

By administrative area, the population density of Seoul stands at 17,473 person/㎢, Gyeonggi-do at 1,119.3 person/㎢, and Incheon at 2,587.5 person/㎢ as of 2010. By urbanized area, the population density of Seoul would amount to 27,421.5 person/㎢, Gyeonggi-do at 8,627.9 person/㎢, and Incheon at 11,923.7 person/㎢, which make the population density of Seoul three times as high as the population density of Gyeonggi-do.
