3차산업

2000년 현재 서울에는 약 65만여개의 3차 산업체에 약 300만명의 종사자가 있으며, 3차산업 업체수 및 종사자수는 지속적으로 증가하고 있다. 3차산업에서 높은 비중을 차지하는 것은 서비스업, 도 소매업, 음식 및 숙박업 순이며, 서비스업의 비중은 지속적으로 증가하고 있다.

3차산업 사업체는 도심지역과 여의도, 강남, 구로동, 가락동 지역에서 높게 나타나는데, 도심과 여의도, 강남지역은 서울의 대표적인 업무기능 중심지로서 생산자 서비스업의 중심지라 할 수 있다. 구로동과 가락동은 도∙소매업이 집중한 곳으로 구로동의 경우 공구상가가, 가락동의 경우 농수산물 도매상가가 밀집한 지역이다.

The Tertiary Industries

As of 2000, there are 650,000 tertiary business entities in Seoul where about 3 million people are working and both in number of business entities and employees they are continuously increasing. The relative importance of each category of the tertiary industries is in the order of service industries, wholesale and retail businesses, restaurants and accommodations, and the importance of service industries continue to increase.

The tertiary industries are predominant in old downtown areas, Yeouido, Gangnam, Guro-dong, Garak-dong, and of them, downtown areas, Yeouido, and Gangnam regions are the representative districts of various business functions, mostly producer-service industries.

Guro-dong and Garak-dong are where the majority of wholesale and retail businesses are concentrated. In the case of Guro-dong, the majority of machine-parts suppliers are gathered while Garak-dong has many agricultural and fishery markets.
