제조업체

서울에는 7만여개의 제조업체에 약 57만명정도가 종사하고 있으며, 제조업체수 및 종사자수는 1990년 이후 감소 추세에 있다. 제조업 사업체의 구성을 살펴보면 의류 패션업이 31.4%, 전기 전자 기계업이 18.3%, 인쇄 출판업이 15.2%로 주를 이루고 있으며, 공간적으로는 영등포 및 구로구를 중심으로 하는 중공업지역과 도심 전문상가 지역에 집중하고 있다.

도심지역에는 도심형 산업인 인쇄 출판업과 의류 패션관련 업종들이 유통형 제조업 형태로 입지하고 있으며, 구로, 영등포 지역은 전기 전자 기계관련 업체들이 상대적으로 많이 입지하고 있다.

Manufacturing Industries

Seoul has about 70,000 manufacturing incorporations where 570,000 people are working. The number of manufacturing industries is on the decrease since 1990.

Composition of manufacturing industries show that clothe and fashion industry comprises 31.4% of the total, electricity and electronic machinery 18.3%, and printing and publication 15.2%.

Spatial distributions are concentrated in the heavy-industrial region of Yeongdeungpo-gu and Guro-gu and downtown shopping districts. In the downtown areas gathered printing, publication, clothe and fashion businesses while the Guro and Yeongdeungpo areas are predominantly electricity, electronics, and machinery related businesses.
