한강 반포지구에 인공섬 조성

서울시는 2009년 말을 예정으로 공연과 레저를 즐길 수 있는 시설인 인공섬을 잠수교 남단에 조성하기로 하였다. 총 세 개로 이루어지는 인공섬은 예술 공연 및 전시 등 문화를 비롯하여 레저·축제·생활체육 등 다양한 활동이 이루어지는 역동적이고 개방적인 문화레저 시설로 조성된다. 이는 시민들에게 문화체험의 기회를 제공하여 친수·친환경 시설로 수려한 경관을 제공하게 되어 서울의 새로운 랜드마크가 될 것으로 기대된다.

CREATING FLOATING ISLAND IN HANGANG IN BANPO DISTRICT

Seoul decided to build Floating Island in the southern Jamsugyo where citizens can enjoy performances and leisure activities in late 2009. The Floating Island will be made up of 3 islands and serve as a dynamic and open cultural and leisure facility for art performance, exhibition, leisure activities, festivals, and exercises. The eco-friendly facility with scenic spectacle is expected to become Seoul's new landmark for citizens' cultural experiences.
